August is always a busy month in Tenerife but as well as our usual diving activities we found time to squeeze in a diving trip to El Hierro. It might be a bit of a busman's holiday for David and myself but the group of divers we took with us all had a great time and so did we.

On the left is the familiar face of Tony with Stuart and Aileen, some new faces, they all enjoyed a great week of diving.

They got married first, then had the underwater proposal, here was Ian and Jenny's big moment.

.....and its not all work and no play.

Tim, who is a local diver and is completing his Divemaster Intern with us gets the music started with a few chords. Click here for more information on our PADI Divemaster Course in Tenerife.

Looking happy and relaxed is Andrew and Karen.

Congratulations to Karen on completing the PADI open water diver course

We look forward to seeing them again in the future.

Pictured here with Chris, our Divemaster Intern is Dave who is a previous customer of Agua Tenerife Diving.

It was great to see Dave again.

Our Course Director, Clive Albon has completed over 200 courses both in the U.K. and in Tenerife so he knows exactly what is required to ensure success for the candidates. For more information click here

Our next IDC is scheduled for 19th November 2005

Another familiar face is Natalia, pictured here on the Steps dive site.

We had a great few days in El Hierro with our friends.......here are some of the highlights.

Enriched air diving (NITROX) is becoming more popular with divers as they become aware of the benefits of diving with a richer mix of oxygen. Agua Tenerife Diving Centre are the only British centre in the South of the island to pump Nitrox onsite.

This large overly friendly Grouper, Epinephelus marginatus nearly ate my duck!

and here is Victoria striking a pose.

The Unicorn fish, Aluterus scriptus is a frequent visitor to the Western Canary Islands. It has dark moles and beautiful light markings, which can change colour. It is rather shy and tends to swim away from divers. It eats small invertebrates, jellyfish and seaweed.

The Dusky Grouper, Epinephelus marginatus grow up to 150 cms. They live on rocky bottoms and ledges. They are a large size and robust looking. They become very trusting in regular dive sites. Eat crustaceans and small fish.
