WHAT DOES THE PADI RESCUE DIVER ONLINE COVER?
PADI Rescue Diver Online content is broken down into an
introduction and 5 easy to learn sections. The course covers a wide
range of topics including: The Psychology of Rescue, Recognizing Diver
Stress, Accident Management, Assisting Responsive and Unresponsive Divers
at the Surface and Underwater, Equipment Problems, Oxygen Delivery Systems,
Missing Diver Procedures, Responding to Diver Emergencies and Inwater
Rescue Breathing. The online sections mirror the material in the Rescue
Diver manual and DVD.
WHO CAN BENEFIT FROM COMPLETING THIS COURSE?
The course is designed for anyone who wants to learn how
to prevent, and if necessary, manage dive emergencies. The course broadens
a diver´s awareness and improves his/her skills and confidence.
Most certified PADI Rescue Divers look back on their rescue training
as one of the most challenging - sometimes demanding - and therefore
most rewarding courses they´ve taken. The subject is serious but
the training is fun.
HOW DOES IT WORK?
After enrolling, PADI´s eLearning system presents
you with interactive presentations that include videos, audio, graphics
and reading. The videos are actually integrated into the online programme
which is a new feature of the online course. Five short quizzes let
you check understanding of the presented information before moving on.
This allows you to move through the programme efficiently and at your
own pace. End of section exams verify your mastery of the entire topic
and are automatically scored.
WHAT ELSE IS REQUIRED TO COMPLETE THE COURSE?
After completing the online portion of the PADI Rescue
Diver course, you will need to visit a Dive centre or PADI Instructor
to complete the training. You will be given a short eLearning quick
review to confirm your understanding of the safety related material
from the course. The, you will complete the inwater training portion
of the course. The Instructor will cover ten rescue exercises and two
Rescue scenarios in open water.
David and Yvonne at Tenerife Dive hope that you can come
over and complete the inwater training parts of the course with us but
of course understand that time and cost make it not always possible.
We have many Instructor partners in various parts of the UK that we
can put you in contact with or alternatively if you have a preferred
PADI dive centre local to you, just print out the completion form and
take that along to the PADI Instructor.
WHAT
DOES IT COST?
The course fee for the PADI Rescue Diver Online is 73
pounds non refundable, if the Access Pass is purchased through Tenerife
Dive. The price includes the final certification but not the inwater
training and any necessary equipment hire.
HOW LONG DO YOU HAVE TO COMPLETE THE PADI eLEARNING
COURSE?
The eLearning course will be available online for 12 months
from the date of course registration.
HOW DO YOU GET STARTED?
Very easy, just email Yvonne
and ask for an ACCESS PASS for the Rescue Diver Online Course. If you
wish to pay by Bank Transfer she will send back the details, or if you
wish to pay by Credit Card we just need the number and expiry date.
A Link to the PADI website and instructions on how to get started will
