WHAT DOES THE PADI OPEN WATER DIVER COURSE ONLINE COVER?

The PADI Open Water Diver course is, by far, the worlds most popular scuba certification course. Millions of people have started diving as certified PADI Open Water Divers. Learning to scuba dive requires both knowledge development (facts. principals, concepts) and dive skills (techniques, methods). The PADI Open Water Diver Course online provides the knowledge development portion you need. You develop the remaining skills by actually diving with a PADI Instructor at your local PADI Dive Centre.

WHAT ARE THE PADI OPEN WATER DIVER COURSE PREREQUISITES?

To be certified as a PADI Open Water Diver, you need to be at least 10 years old (this may differ in some Countries), fot for diving and to able to swim. To be able to participate in the PADI eLearning Open Water online programme, you simply need to be at least 10 years old.

HOW DOES IT WORK?

After enrolling, PADI´s eLearning system presents you with interactive presentations that include videos, audio, graphics and reading. Short quizzes let you gauge your progress, and review and correct anything you might happen to miss. This let´s you move through the programme efficiently and at your own pace.

WHAT ELSE IS REQUIRED TO COMPLETE THE COURSE?

Prior to certification as a PADI Open Water Diver, you will need to visit a PADI Dive Centre to complete your training. You will take a short eLearning Quick Review to confirm your understanding of safety related material from the course, and you must successfully complete the confined water dives and four open water training dives with your PADI Instructor. You learn and master each of the required skills in confined water first before moving on and showing your instructor that you can comfortably repeat those skills in open water. As a PADI Open Water Diver, you will be a certified entry level diver able to rent dive gear, get air fills and dive anywhere in the world in better or similar conditions to those you´ve trained in.

David and Yvonne at Tenerife Dive hope that you can come over and complete the inwater training parts of the course with us but of course understand that time and cost make it not always possible. We have many Instructor partners in various parts of the UK that we can put you in contact with or alternatively if you have a preferred PADI dive centre local to you, just print out the completion form and take that along to the PADI Instructor.

WHAT DOES IT COST?

The course fee for the PADI Open Water Diver Course online is 73.00 pounds, non refundable, if the Access Pass is purchased through Tenerife Dive. The fee covers your knowledge development training and gives you unlimited access to an electronic version of the PADI Open Water Diver Manual. This includes the final certification after all the theory and inwater training parts have been completed. Not included are the inwater training dives, equipment hire and a logbook.

HOW LONG DO YOU HAVE TO COMPLETE THE PADI eLEARNING COURSE?

The eLearning course will be available online for 12 months from the date of course registration.

HOW DO YOU GET STARTED?

Very easy, just email Yvonne and ask for an ACCESS PASS for the Open Water Diver Course Online. If you wish to pay by Bank Transfer she will send back the details, or if you wish to pay by Credit Card we just need the number and expiry date. A Link to the PADI website and instructions on how to get started will be sent with the Access Pass. If you wish to purchase the Access Pass as a gift for someone else, no problem just let me know the name and if you wish to add any message, we can either send this back to you for forwarding or can send direct if you supply the email address.

Before any inwater training, a PADI self certified medical form must be fully completed, if a doctors approval is required this must be obtained prior to the inwater training.
