WHAT DOES IT COVER?

PADI Divemaster Online is the first professional level within the PADI System of diver education and allows divemaster candidates to work as a training assistant on PADI courses and programmes, supervise certified divers during pleasure diving experiences, and conduct some PADI programmes independently. Becoming a PADI Divemaster consists of the following segments: knowledge development, practical application and the divemaster final exam. The online portion of the course, PADI Divemaster Online, covers nine topics that prepare you for the practical sessions needed to complete the Divemaster Course.

WHAT ARE THE PREREQUISITES FOR PADI DIVEMASTER ONLINE ?

Prior to enrolling in PADI Divemaster Online, you must be at least 18 years old, have a current medical statement signed by a Doctor within the previous 12 months, and be a certified PADI Advanced Open water diver and PADI Rescue or hold qualifying certifications from another dive training organisation. You must also have completed an Emergency First Response Primary and Secondary Care course (or other sanctioned first aid and CPR course) within the past 24 months and be able to prove that you have at least 40 dives (60 before being able to complete the Divemaster course with experience of deep dives, night dives and underwater navigation).

HOW DOES IT WORK?

After enrolling, PADI´s eLearning system presents you with interactive presentations that include videos, audio, graphics and reading. Short quizzes let you gauge progress, and review and correct anything you might happen to miss. This let you move through the programme efficiently and at your own pace.

WHAT ELSE IS REQUIRED TO COMPLETE THE COURSE?

Once you have successfully completed Divemaster Online, you will need to successfully complete several practical assessments, workshops and other assignments with a PADI Instructor. You will also need to complete the Divemaster Final Exam as well as meet the professional criteria.

David and Yvonne at Tenerife Dive hope that you can come over and complete the inwater training parts of the course with us but of course understand that time and cost make it not always possible. We have many Instructor partners in various parts of the UK that we can put you in contact with or alternatively if you have a preferred PADI dive centre local to you, just print out the completion form and take that along to the PADI Instructor.

WHAT DOES IT COST?

The eLearning portion of the course is 120 pounds, non refundable, if purchased as an Access Pass through Tenerife Dive. Other costs - You will have to pay a separate application fee due to PADI that needs to be submitted with the Divemaster application once the course has been successfully completed. Materials - PADI Divemaster Online will provide perpetual access to an ebook version of the PADI Divemaster manual, a required material. However, to complete the PADI Divemaster course, you will also need a current PADI Instructor manual, both the Table RDP and eRDPML and the Encyclopedia of Recreational Diving.

HOW LONG DO YOU HAVE TO COMPLETE THE PADI eLEARNING COURSE?

The eLearning segment of the course is available for 12 months from the time of course registration. You must finish the online portion of the course within that time frame and will have perpetual access to the ebook version of the PADI Divemaster manual.

HOW DO YOU GET STARTED?

Very easy, just email Yvonne and ask for an ACCESS PASS for the Divemaster OnlineCourse. If you wish to pay by Bank Transfer she will send back the details, or if you wish to pay by Credit Card we just need the number and expiry date. A Link to the PADI website and instructions on how to get started will be sent with the Access Pass. If you wish to purchase the Access Pass as a gift for someone else, no problem just let me know the name and if you wish to add any message, we can either send this back to you for forwarding or can send direct if you supply the email address.

Before any inwater training, a PADI self certified medical form must be fully completed, if a doctors approval is required this must be obtained prior to the inwater training.
