WHAT DOES THE PADI DIGITAL UNDERWATER COURSE
COVER?
The course includes all the knowledge development requirements
for the PADI Digital Underwater Photography certification. If you want
to take digital photos and video near, around or underwater, this course
will teach you how. In the first two sections, the focus is primarily
on still photography - whether you take digital still images with a
camera or camcorder. Finally, section three covers some specific tips
on how to image quality underwater video with digital cameras.
WHO CAN BENEFIT FROM COMPLETING THIS COURSE?
The course is designed for anyone who wants to learn how
to use a digital camera or video underwater and also helps improve the
skills and knowledge of those who already have some experience with
underwater digital imaging. The course is open to snorkelers, aquatic
enthusiasts and certified divers of all levels.
HOW DOES IT WORK?
After enrolling, PADI´s eLearning system presents
you with interactive presentations that include videos, audio, graphics
and reading. Short quizzes let you gauge progress, and review and correct
anything you might happen to miss. This lets you move through the programme
efficiently and at your own pace.
WHAT ELSE IS REQUIRED TO COMPLETE THE COURSE?
Prior to certification as a PADI Digital Underwater Photographer
Level One, you must complete a training dive in a pool, confined water
or open water with a PADI Digital Underwater Photographer Speciality
Instructor. The Level One certification is open to snorkellers and the
certification card issued for that level will state that it is a non-diving
certification level. For divers in training or divers that are already
certified, certification Level Two requires you to complete 2 open water
training dives.
David and Yvonne at Tenerife Dive hope that you can come
over and complete the inwater training parts of the course with us but
of course understand that time and cost make it not always possible.
We have many Instructor partners in various parts of the UK that we
can put you in contact with or alternatively if you have a preferred
PADI dive centre local to you, just print out the completion form and
take that along to the PADI Instructor.
WHAT
DOES IT COST?
The course fee for the PADI Digital Underwater Photographer
Course Online is 73 pounds (non refundable) if the Access Pass is purchased
through Tenerife Dive. This includes the final certification after all
the theory and inwater training parts have been completed. Not included
are the 2 open water dives and where applicable any equipment hire.
HOW LONG DO YOU HAVE TO COMPLETE THE PADI eLEARNING
COURSE?
The eLearning course will be available online for 12 months
from the date of course registration.
HOW DO YOU GET STARTED?
Very easy, just email Yvonne
and ask for an ACCESS PASS for the DUP Course. If you wish to pay by
Bank Transfer she will send back the details, or if you wish to pay
by Credit Card we just need the number and expiry date. A Link to the
PADI website and instructions on how to get started will be sent with
the Access Pass. If you wish to purchase the Access Pass as a gift for
someone else, no problem just let me know the name and if you wish to
add any message, we can either send this back to you for forwarding
or can send direct if you supply the email address.
Before any inwater training, a PADI self certified medical
form must be fully completed, if a doctors approval is required this
must be obtained prior to the inwater training.
