WHAT DOES THE PADI ADVANCED COURSE ONLINE COVER?
The PADI Advanced Course Online covers 7 Adventure dive
sections, these include the subjects of Boat, Deep, Night, Peak Performance
Buoyancy, Underwater Naturalist, Underwater Navigation and Wreck. The
course must include 5 sections, the Deep and Navigation dive sections
are compulsory, the other 3 sections you can choose. Some of the sections
may not be available in your area (eg) Ice Diving in Tenerife.
WHY 7 SECTIONS AND NOT 5, AND WHAT IF I WANT
TO DO OTHER SECTIONS?
After surveying PADI Members worldwide, these were the
most commonly sections offered. As most of sections are fairly short
it is not inconvenient to ask eLearners to complete two additional sections
beyond the five required for certification. You will have access to
a digital copy of the Adventures in Diving manual online, if there are
other sections that are of more interest to you, please contact your
Instructor or Dive centre to ensure they are able to offer these choices.
WHO CAN BENEFIT FROM COMPLETING THIS COURSE?
The course is designed for anyone who wants to progress
beyond the PADI Open Water diver course by learning new experiences
with the comfort of having an Instructor closeby. After all the knowledge
development and inwater sections have been completed you will be certified
to dive to 30 metres (this limit is 21 metres for Junior Advanced Open
water divers).
HOW DOES IT WORK?
After enrolling, PADI´s eLearning system presents
you with interactive presentations that include videos, audio, graphics
and reading. Once you have completed the Online course an ELearning
record can be printed which verifies successful completion of all sections
and associated Knowledge Reviews. There is no Final Exam for the PADI
Advanced Course and you don´t need a Quick Review like Entry Level
Divers.
WHAT ELSE IS REQUIRED TO COMPLETE THE COURSE?
Prior to certification as a PADI Advanced Open Water Diver
you must complete 5 open water training dives that relate to the sections
in the manual.
David and Yvonne at Tenerife Dive hope that you can come
over and complete the inwater training parts of the course with us but
of course understand that time and cost make it not always possible.
We have many Instructor partners in various parts of the UK that we
can put you in contact with or alternatively if you have a preferred
PADI dive centre local to you, just print out the completion form and
take that along to the PADI Instructor.
WHAT
DOES IT COST?
The course fee for the PADI Advanced Open Water online
is 73.00 pounds, non refundable, if the Access Pass is purchased through
Tenerife Dive. This includes the final certification after all the theory
and inwater training parts have been completed. Not included are the
5 open water dives and where applicable any equipment hire.
HOW LONG DO YOU HAVE TO COMPLETE THE PADI eLEARNING
COURSE?
The eLearning course will be available online for 12 months
from the date of course registration.
HOW DO YOU GET STARTED?
Very easy, just email Yvonne
and ask for an ACCESS PASS for the Advanced Open Water Online Course.
If you wish to pay by Bank Transfer she will send back the details,
or if you wish to pay by Credit Card we just need the number and expiry
date. A Link to the PADI website and instructions on how to get started
will be sent with the Access Pass. If you wish to purchase the Access
Pass as a gift for someone else, no problem just let me know the name
and if you wish to add any message, we can either send this back to
you for forwarding or can send direct if you supply the email address.
Before any inwater training, a PADI self certified medical
form must be fully completed, if a doctors approval is required this
must be obtained prior to the inwater training.
